Majestic Art
By Isaiah, Ali, and Karen
Have you ever heard of Art For Youth? Art For Youth is a fun filled experience for a fourth class. Some children in our class have mothers that show and explain a piece of artwork to us. We talk about what colors we see or if anyone has seen the artwork before. We pay attention to the small details and talk about them.
One of the famous sculptures that we studied was the Spoon and the Cherry. The sculpture is in Minneapolis. It has a fountain and there is a small pond around it! We guessed how big or small it was in its original place and that it was painted and sculpted.
We also talk about the artist or the person who sculpted the artwork and where they live(d). We talk about the different styles of paint the artist used.
