This month fourth graders put together all the pieces of the writing process – as they worked with spelling partners – to write about specials classes.
The steps of the writing process are -
Prewriting – creating a web, list, or other plan for your topic
Drafting – using the prewriting plan to write a first copy on your topic
Revising – deciding how to make your draft better by changing words, phrases, paragraphs, and so on — the “big stuff”
Editing – using resources to check and correct for spelling, punctuation, and capitalization — the “little stuff”
Publishing – sharing your writing with an audience
This is the first set of blog entries for 2006-2007 entirely written, proofread, and word processed by students.
