Do you want to read a great book about adventures on Hamilton Hill? If you don’t, then don’t even take a peek at this book review! If you do, go ahead and keep reading!  The book we read is called The Cabin Faced West and is written by Jean Fritz. The illustrator is Feodor Rojankovsky.

This book is about all the adventures on Hamilton Hill. Ann is the only girl in town besides her mother. Ann is the main character and is very smart and clever. Andy is the second main character. Andy can be stubborn, silly, and especially mean and he always jokes. Ann’s mom is nice and thoughtful all the time! All of these characters are very interesting, and very unique in their own way!

You probably like the adventures with Ann. We loved the part when Ann met George Washington. She minded her manners because he is such an important person. Another reason that you should read this book is because there was a giant storm that hit and destroyed all of the green peas but Ann saved most of the peas. There once was a time when the fire went out in the cabin and Ann met a man named Arthur Scott who helped her rebuild the fire.

The cabin Faced West is a great book to read, any body should eight or older should read this book. The main idea of this book is about the adventres that happened on Hamilton hill.  Guess who Ann meets? George Washington. Isn’t that cool. We wonder how Ann can meet Gorge Washington? Don’t you think Ann was surprised when she met him? We would be breathless if met George Washington. We wonder why George Washington would want to talk to Ann.
