Have you ever been on a baseball field all big and green?

I have you can see every thing from a hole new view it makes me feel like I’m a ant cause it’s so big.

If you wonder how much it cost to built it think how many people there are in the stadium $1 per person.

There’s a lot of people in the stadium.

Tiny Baseball

By Jack

Green grass the smell of the fresh night air.

The tiny ball whizzing through the air.

Peanuts the hot dogs the cheering.

The home run fire works.

The batter.

The gloves the pitcher the mound the spiked cleats grass stains and a broken bat.

The rosin on the bats the seams on the ball but the excitement is the best of all.

Pizza

When that warm yummy pizza hits my plate,

I think I can’t wait!

The warmth already hit my skin.

But when it goes in my mouth,

I say wait!

Its way to hot!

Blow,

Blow,

Blow,

Now it’s time to have that cheese spread in my mouth.

And hear that

crunch,

crunch,

crunch in my mouth.

And have that smooth sauce soak in with the thick bread.

But now I’m sad

Because it’s all gone!

Mystery Skype ~ Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Bloggers – Joey and Pascal

If you don’t know what a mystery skype call is, it is where you ask questions or listen to clues to find what state they live in. We decided to ask questions. We started 10:28 A.M. When we ask our first two questions they had trouble finding answers to them. Then after they said yes to one of our question we got to ask a follow up question. After they asked a question which the answer was no, our video camera was low so we had to change the batteries.

A couple minutes later when we answered one of their questions yes, they got really excited. Then we answered yes to their follow-up questions so they got another follow-up question. Then finally the answer to their 2nd follow-up question.

The three in a row must have given them a good hint because the next time they could ask a question they guessed our state right. It took us a while to guess their state. Then we asked some questions about each others state, and said good bye.

Cars

As I get in to line I see all the cars smashing in to each other and zooming past me. As I get in to the car I fasten my seatbelt and when that siren came on I put the pedal to the medal. I steer in to mayhem I get so close to people I can smell people gum flavor. As I smash in to other cars I hear chanting and people screaming and then out of the corner of my eye I saw a car speeding at me. I quick turn with the engine squeaking and head to ram another. But when I got a foot away from the other car my car stopped the ride was over. When I got out of the car it was laugh city every body was laughing or saying I’m a beast yeah bumper cars are definitely an event.

By Abby

I can’t wait, I can’t wait,

For the pizza on my plate.

Ooooo! That greasy cheese that could fill all the seas,

The tomato sauce,

You’re not the boss of all the pizza I eat!

Beast Feast

By Payton

There once was a beast that had a feast.

He had his feast a float in a giant boat.

In the boat there was a hose and it sprayed me on the nose.

The hose was green and so was me.

I turned green on the giant boat that was a float.

And on the boat there was a feast with a beast.

Cleaning the Kitchen

April 20, 2012 · No Comments · Curriculum Highlights, Poetry, Writing

By Callie

I wipe the counters until they are perfectly perfect-

And wait so I can use the broom.

With the taste of Clorox wipes in my mouth from biting my nails-

Mixed with my snack, Goldfish Crackers.

When the broom is not being used I take it-

And wipe the dust spreading near my face.

Now it’s close enough to smell-

Now it’s close enough to taste-

AHHHHH

CHOOOOOOOOOO!

That’s what you get for cleaning the kitchen.

Gardening problems

April 19, 2012 · No Comments · Curriculum Highlights, Poetry, Writing

By Jake

Saturday afternoon I was watching T.V,

When my mom came in and said come garden with me

Oh no! Not gardening! Anything but that!

There’s prickly weeds and flowers with bees!

Plus, I have terrible allergies. Just let me stay in, please.

It smells like cutgrass and dirt.

The scissors don’t cut and they hurt!

And there’s so much dust.

Just let me stay in, pleeeeaaase.

O.K. said mom. Yeeesssssssss!

But you will have to clean your room.

OH NO!
