Ms. Kreul’s Class Blog

Students in 4K have had their first articles published this week on this class blog. The assignment, which is connected to Ms. Ramsey’s guidance lessons, was to choose one goal for this school year and write a paragraph about how to accomplish this goal. Students were assessed on paragraph organization, main idea sentence, supporting detail sentences, and concluding sentence, as well as spelling and conventions. My goal for fourth grade is to get better at math because I’m not that good at it.  To get better I’m going  to  practice my math facts and look at my report card every time I get it. Also my parents can help me get better at math. On math  tests I’ll focus really well because I usually get really frusterated. And that’s my goal for fourth grade.

I have a goal set for this year. My goal is to get some really good grades, like A`s or B`s. My grades in third grade were good but I`m going fore better ones this year. I think this goal will get me in to some beyond groups, a beyond group is a group they put you in if your really good at a subject . To achieve my goal, I will listen, and study hard. I think this goal will make me a better person and help me in other ones.

Here is my plan for forth grade. The goal for this year is for me to get better at writing and describing my projects, this is how I’ll try to solve it. Every other day I will ask someone to give me a topic , then I’ll write some descriptions and tell someone what I wrote . Another way I’ll  practice is I’d take a picture and make some comments like, “This robins crest is a light butter yellow.” Or “that foxes tale is a fire burning red.” I also will   write a descriptive paragraph about a topic I know lots about. My gole is trying to finish the Harry Potter series  I’am on the third book and it is realy good so far once I get to the seventh book it will it will be hard to read because it look’s like it has over fivehudred page’s in the book that is not usual book I have seen rarly any book’s that big.

My goal for fourth grade is to get better at all the subjects that are in fourth grade. In math I want to get better at division and multiplication to get better grades. In science I want to explore more. In physical education I want to get more athletic. In Art I want to be a better creator and be more realistic. And just get better at all the subjects.

This year, I would like to make many friends because I think that I will have a lot more practice talking to people, and understanding other peoples feelings. Making friends in your childhood is very important because when you grow up you will always need your friends to guide you. Another reason why I want to make many friends this year is because they will help you through any situation or problem. What I also like about making friends is that you always have fun together. This is my goal for the year, and I will do everything to accomplish it!

For forth grade, I have many goals. The one I really want to work on is checking over my work. After I am done with a test the teacher says to check over my work, now I know why. Like if you have a math test and you are aloud to use your math book. I usually would look at the paper or not think that hard. This year I am to double check my paper and use my math or social studies or science exc. Book. This year I am going to check over my work.

One of the goals I would like to achieve for 4th grade is to get better at math facts like: multiplication and subtraction.  I will achieve this goal by asking my mom to give me math problems.  Another way I will achieve this goal is to practice on the internet to practice.  The final way I will achieve this goal is to use a multiplication chart.  After I achieve this goal I will be expected to: do better at timed fact tests be better at math, worksheets and tests. That is how I will achieve my goal for 4th grade.

For fourth grade I have a goal I want to accomplish. It is going to get better at my math facts. I am going to achieve that goal by doing it every day. When I get home from school. I’m going to work really hard. Ask my mom to give me a little quiz once in a while and just really, really listen during math class. I hope you have a goal for this year just like me. This year I would like to improve on writing. This is what I can do to improve. I can read and write more. I can also write about waht I read and to keep trake on what I read. Maybe I could evan ttype a story or something on the computer. That is one big change I think I can make this year in fourth grade.

My goal for the 2008-09 school year is to get better at my times facts because I need to know more facts and do better on my tests. I hope I will achieve this goal and learn more about my facts. This is my goal for fourth grade. I’m going to study my math facts more intill I get better at my math facts. This is how I’m going to study my math facts. I’m going to use flash cards or ues my mom’s i-pod touch because she has math facts * / + – so I can study. I’m going to ask my dad if he can give me a question or a quiz on math facts and the time test my teacher gave me or study one math fact a day. Study for five or ten miniuts. That was my goal for studying math facts.

My goal is to write better so people can understand my writing. To acomplish this goal I will practice my writing every day and write slower. Achieving my goal will make me a better person because people wouldn’t get so confused by my writing. Typing will also help me achieve my goal because that’s how my brother reaches his writing goal. My goal is to get better at subtraction. Useally I get frustated, then confused, then bored so I just stop. And when I’m behind it just comes to me and when it’s a show your work problem, I’ve got nothing to show. So on a test or quiz that would be 1 out of 3 points, but I have a plan. I am going to use my old flash cards and then have someone at home quiz me, and at school, after I finish my work, I can do more practice.

I want to acheve in reading. How I will acheve is study harder in reading. Hopfuly I will get to where I want to be. Someday I hope to be the best reader in the whole wide world because it is important to me that I get good grades this year in reading. Mabe one day I will win a contest for reading do you think so? When I was little I grow up with an eye problem and now it got better.

My goal for this year is to do my best in my work. I’m going to do this by working hard and listening to the teacher. I want to do this because it will help me keep my grades up. Sometimes I want to be lazy and not do my best but that’s note the right choice. Also this will help get people the right impression of me. Another things is though this dosen’t come up in each subject. Also I still can work hard to accomplish it. So I’m going to work hard to acomplish my goal no matter the price. I’m also going to do this by making the right desicion. I hope others are inspired and do the same. Also I’ve been seeing people who do their homework at the last minute. They don’t get perrfect grades. But I’m not going to grow up like them. This is my goal and I’m going to do everything to accomplish it.
